A Day Late and Dollar Short

So, recently my car had slowly been dying recently. My heater/defroster currently doesn't work, windshield wipers are worn out, it stalls if you have less than a quarter of a tank of gas, the air conditioner has never work, nor the back window, and I've never had a horn either. The other problem with owning a 1992 Ford Bronco XLT is I have been putting $60 of gas in it a week. That's $240 a month in gas. So our payment is less than we pay in gas. So we settled on this nice little 2003 Toyota Echo.

Don't lie, you love it. Be super jealous of my hand rolled windows, my arms are gunna be so buff. I get 41 miles to the gallon, and I am so happy I could cry. It drives so well too. I love it, despite the fact that it made us broke as a joke.

Speaking of broke, it being my last week at Best Buy, the final trip in there to shop was yesterday. I got a new stereo for this car, chargers for all of our gaming system's controllers so we never have to buy batteries again. I am positive that there will be 100 more things I want on Saturday. Which is my last day at Best Buy, after three years. Scary day.

New beginnings and a summer of fun!

Today, plenty of things happened. After three years at Best Buy, I have put in my two weeks. It's scary, but it's also a huge relief. David got a promotion to Program Direct of Adult Services, so I'm going to focus on getting through school and finding a job in my career field. It's scary to be unemployed, but I'm convinced it will be for the best.

Right now I am in a three week class, along with an eight week class, and it's driving me nuts. I am ready to be done. The class ends June 5th, then June 12th-June 21st we will be in California enjoying the sunshine. When we get back, I am going back to Delaware from the 23rd to the 29th. Then July starts. July 2nd Connor and Erin fly in until July 23rd-ish, Then our second anniversary. And my last summer class starts somewhere in that jumble.

And right after that, Fall comes, and school starts again.

It's gunna be fun, but absolutely insane.

May as well try it...

So, recently I've given up my MySpace addiction for a Facebook addiction. Now I've decided that everyone needs to hear from me more, or maybe I won't keep any journal if I can't do it from the computer. So here it is.

Our most recent (and only for awhile) addition to the family has been a little doxie, named Salchicha, which is Spanish for hot dog, since she looks like one. Currently, she and David are napping, while I pretend to do homework. Very typical day.

Here's what I love about the puppy (besides the fact that she is the cutest dog I've ever seen), a child has to be taken everywhere, a babysitter has to be called even if you leave for 10 minutes. You have to get up at night when they cry and you have to change diapers for years.

However, no one calls it child (or puppy) abuse when you put the puppy in kennel at night. The dog has already stopped pooping in the house at four months old (find a kid that potty trains that young). If I need to go to class I can tie her up and go, come back later and she is just fine.

There is also no concern when I put on certain music or watch certain TV shows with her. You can't corrupt a puppy's little mind the same way you can a baby.

So, for the next few years, we will stick with the 6.5 pound mini dachshund that has captured our hearts.
